Lucy Hale’s Braid — Stunning Updo To Go With Her Smokey Eye
We totally agree! We love that her hair was pulled back from her face to show off her gorgeous makeup!
Lucy’s makeup was done by Celebrity Makeup Artist Kelsey Deenihan. She told HollywoodLife.com:
“I knew Lucy‘s eyes were going to be the main focus of her look. We chatted about the look beforehand and planned to really doll up her eyes since her hair was going to be pulled off her face. She’s wearing a gorgeous little red Dior dress so we wanted to keep the eyes in earth tones to avoid any colors competing with the dress.”
Here’s how to get the look:
“Face: I prepped the face with Lancer Nourish Moisturizer and applied Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in number 6 to Lucy‘s face and neck. I added mark. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Amped Up to add a dewy glow and contour to Lucy‘s cheeks.
Eyes: To make sure Lucy‘s shadow stayed all night, I prepped her lids with mark. please hold eye primer and followed it by a wash of mark. All Time Eye Hook Up Longwear Shadow in Tender Love. This champagne color creme shadow acted as a base to layer shadows. To begin the smokey eye, I used the mark. On The Dot Neutral Eye Color Compact and used the reddish brown color on the far right middle. I wiped the color all over the lid and extended it outward to elongate Lucy‘s eyes.
I lined the top and bottom lashes with mark. On The Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner in Bronze Edge to add a little metallic drama to the eyes. On the top lash line, I added a slight wing to the outer corner to continued with the elongated smokey shape. Next I placed mark. No Place to Run Waterproof Eyeliner in Jet Set to the top and bottom water lines to fully define the eyes.
To finish off the eyes, I used mark. Lash Act Build and Define Mascara in Blackest Black. A couple of generous coats of mascara on the top and bottom lashes really completed the look and made her eyes pop.
Lips: The lips are a subtle nude, as not to distract from the eyes. I used mark. Full Color Lipstick in Bare Hug and opted to not use a liner to avoid looking too “done”.”
