Shark Week 2014: Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Spork Week’ Spoof
Hungry for Shark Week? So is Jimmy Kimmel!
After the annual geek-a-thon premiered to its highest ratings ever in 27 years on Sunday, August 10, the funny man introduced Discovery’s brand new Shark Week program, “Spork Week” on Jimmy Kimmel Live — don’t worry guys, it’s fake. And genius.
Jimmy tweeted, “I think @Discovery is getting desperate for
#SharkWeek programming,” then presenting the spoof, which follows a manhunting spork (yes, the utensil) going after his team’s food in the office, complete with Jaws-inspired music.
Just when you thought your brown bagged lunch couldn’t get any worse, the spork attacks. No wonder sporks have always been the neglected step-sibling of the utensil family.
Shark Week 2014 airs all week, starting at 8/7c, on Discovery.
HollywoodLifers, did you crack up at Jimmy’s spoof? Let us know if you’re watching Shark Week this year!
