Here comes the love triangle! After Dylan tells Elise to go hang out with other guys, he’s not exactly thrilled that she spent the night making out with Chris Bukowski. Plus, we’re not sure why she did it after saying she was ‘falling in love’ with Dylan (after a week).
After the explosive premiere of Bachelor in Paradise, we knew that we were in for quite the trip. So, week two brings in two new familiar faces: the classic party crasher, Chris Bukowski and Zack Kalter from Desiree’s season. However, one of those men are stirring up some drama when they move in on a relationship that’s already been established.
The One That
Swiftly Got Away
Before the episode began, we got the information on what happened after Michelle Kujawa eliminated herself on week one. We told you there was more to come — and oh we were right.
Apparently, what happened — and we got a dramatic reenactment of it — was that Michelle fell for Ryan Putz, a crew member who had a connecting room to Michelle before the show started filming. When Chris Harrison came over to the hotel after the rose ceremony, she wouldn’t let him in. So another crew member tried getting in and Michelle was in the room in a towel.
Ryan was hiding out in the room and jumped off the balcony… and broke both of his feet. Yes, this is true. This actually happened.
Date Nights Start Early
Okay, back to paradise.
When Chris B. arrived, he had a date card and chose Clare to go on a couples massage date! Clare thought she really could have a connection… but that didn’t last.
As for Lacy, who made out with both Marcus and Robert, settled right into boyfriend mode with Marcus. Then Marcus got the date card, which rubbed salt in the wound for Robert. Of course, Marcus chose Lacy. They go on a romantic(?) little boat ride under the stars and talk about Andi Dorfman, because talking about your ex usually is smart to do a week in.
Nick arrived and swept Clare away on a date, too, even though she somehow knew him before hand. (Is anyone else wondering how she knows these guys?) They headed out to get to know each other more, which meant go into the ocean and make out and feel a “little tingle.” She also said she “felt his connection in the ocean.” Ew, Clare, TMI.
Love Triangle Errupts: Chris Comes Between Elise & Dylan
Elise revealed that she was “falling in love with Dylan” and that their connection was something she never felt before. However, even though they hit it off, Dylan said he wanted to meet other people and that he “wouldn’t be upset” if she went on a date with someone else… until she did it. She had a steamy make out in the ocean with Chris, and of course Dylan wasn’t happy. But not to worry — she told him she was thinking about him the whole time.
Well, Dylan was so unhappy that he told her not to give him the rose because he’d reject it. Who would reject a rose on a show where that’s the only way you stay? Apparently Dylan. Elise spent the whole episode apologizing, but he was over it.
Chris, who quickly became the villain of the show, referred to Dylan as a bloated Matt Damon from Good Will Hunting! However, Dylan did get the date card — and asked Sarah… Elise’s “best friend” there.
The Rose Ceremony
Before the rose ceremony, Marcus and Marquel found a letter in Ben‘s suitcase that was written by someone back home. So naturally, they pulled him aside and approached him about it. Ben said he found it when he got there and it was from a girl he met three weeks ago and fell for her.
So, Marquel and Marcus told him it wasn’t cool, and Michelle Money came up and said she was “offended” because she takes this all seriously. All the other girls definitely felt it too, annoyed that he was wasting everyone’s time. He even admitted that he was in love with her. So, Ben went home. CYA!
This week, the ladies got to hand out the roses, and here’s how it all went down.
Lacy gave her rose to her new boyfriend, Marcus; AshLee gave hers to her
property crush, Graham; Clare gave hers to Zack; Michelle Money gave hers to Marquel; Elise gives hers to Dylan — and then he rejected it, so she gave a speech that no one understood. It went something like:
“I want to thank Dylan, because I, as a woman and every woman here deserves 100 percent, and a man that’s gonna fight for her. I know that you (Dylan) know, that life brings a lot of things. Life brings ups and downs, and I think that myself and everyone woman here deserves someone who’s going to be there through thick and thin and through everything.”
After all that, she gave her rose to Chris — talk about making him feel like second best. Sarah rounded out the lineup, giving her rose to Robert . . . so Dylan went home.
Hey, I was team Dylan all along, but what did he think was going to happen? What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Should Dylan have accepted the rose? Was it time for him to go? Let us know!
