Major changes continue to happen at The View. After Sherri Shepherd, 47, and Jenny McCarthy, 41, were let go from the esteemed talk show in June 2014, rumors of who would replace them have run rampant. However, a new report claims that the two replacements have already been found!
‘The View': Two New Hosts Replacing Sherri Shepherd & Jenny McCarthy – Report
Nicolle was the former White House Communications Director for President George W. Bush and October is the wife of former Atlanta Falcons football player, Tony Gonzalez, 38.
October “didn’t audition,” Daily Mail reports. “She was herself. She was the real deal.”
Over a dozen female hosts were tested for Sherri and Jenny’s replacement, the outlet reports. ESPN anchor Sage Steele, 41, political analyst Ana Navarro, CNN legal analyst Sunny Hostin, 45, and Bloomberg TV managing editor Stephanie Ruhle, 38, were all reportedly considered. HollywoodLife.com also reported exclusively that actress Leah Remini, 44, was on the short list to replace either Sherri or Jenny.
Conservative political commentator S.E. Cupp was also reportedly considered, but clashed with Whoopi, Daily Mail claims.
“Whoopi told her that her approach was just like Elisabeth Hasselbeck, which did not sit well,” the show insider revealed, according to Daily Mail.
News of the possible replacements comes a few days before Sherri says goodbye to The View audience for good on Aug. 11, CBS News reports.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think about the possibility of Nicole and October filling Sherri and Jenny’s seats? Let us know!
