Sherri Shepherd: Ex-Husband Using Surrogate Baby To Get Her Money?
Could Lamar Sally have tricked Sherri Shepherd into having a baby via surrogate so that he could take her money for child support? A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Sherri feels played by her estranged hubby.
Sherri Shepherd, 47, refuses to be taken for a fool. That’s why she has distanced herself from ex-husband Lamar Sally, and the baby they had together through a surrogate. Now, HollywoodLife.com can reveal how Sherri is feeling about the situation, and her plan of action to ensure she is not taken advantage of by her ex.
Sherri Shepherd Worried Her Ex-Husband Is Trying To Take Her Money
Just as Sherri gears up for her last episode of The View, the drama in her personal life continues.
As previously reported, the surrogate carrying a baby belonging to Sherri and her estranged husband gave birth on Aug. 5. Unfortunately, Sherri was not present for the baby’s birth nor has she acknowledged that the baby was born in any way, shape, or form.
However, a source close to Sherri reveals to HollywoodLife.com that there is a very good reason for that — and it has to do with Lamar.
“It’s a tough situation for Sherri because she believes that every child should have a loving father and mother to raise them and support them yet at the same time she doesn’t want to be taken for a fool and to the cleaners all in one day.”
“Bottom line, she knows Lamar’s game and thinks it’s beyond disgusting that he’s using a precious and innocent child to get his crummy hands in her purse and she hopes a judge will see through his bull. He’s a fraud and has been all along,” the source continued.
Yikes. That’s a mighty large accusation to make, but it’s not the first time we’ve heard that Lamar had the wrong intentions for their surrogate baby.
Lamar Wants To Sue Sherri For Child Support
When it was first reported that Sherri might be backing out of taking her surrogate baby, another report claimed that Lamar would sue her for child support anyway.
After Sherri filed for divorce on May 2, TMZ reported that Lamar would be finding a way to legally force her into signing the child’s birth certificate. This of course came after Lamar petitioned for full custody of the child, as well as child support from his estranged wife.
This is definitely a unique — maybe even bizarre, dare we say — situation. No matter what happens between Sherri and Lamar, hopefully that innocent little baby gets the loving and caring home that it deserves.
