LeBron James Named World’s Fittest Athlete In ‘Sports Illustrated’
LeBron is making headlines yet again! The two-time NBA championship player, who recently announced he was returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers after he opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat, has secured the top spot in Sports Illustrated’s 50 Fittest athletes.
The athletes were ranked in four categories: speed, strength, agility and endurance.
Athletes from all arenas rounded out the list: Here are the top 10 fittest athletes: LeBron, Cristiano, Usain, Floyd, Dez Bryant, 25, Calvin Johnson, 28, Serge Ibaka, 24, Adrian Peterson, 29, Jon Jones, 27, and Michael Phelps, 29.
After four years with the Miami Heat, LeBron is “coming home” to Cleveland. LeBron posted a heartfelt message to SI.com on July 11, detailing his decision to return.
One of the main reasons LeBron wanted to go back to Cleveland was reportedly because of his family. His wife, Savannah Brinson, is set to welcome their first baby girl any day now. LeBron has also reportedly registered his two sons, LeBron James, Jr., 9, and Bryce Maximus James, 6, up for school in Cleveland for fall 2014.
