Chris Harrison has seen it all, as the host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and even he insists that Bachelor In Paradise is “the best fricken’ show.” There’s even a moment on the August 4 premiere that’s “probably the craziest thing that’s happened ” on the franchise. ‘Bachelor In Paradise': Chris Harrison Reveals Spinoff Is ‘On Steroids’
If you’ve missed your favorite hot messes from seasons past, Christmas came early because Bachelor In Paradise is bringing the best of the worst back together to one remote island.
Unfortunately, Nick Viall won’t be flown out to paradise to explain his sex talk, but plenty of men from Andi Dorfman‘s season will be there with their shirts off, doing a little bit more than talking about sex.
“You’ll definitely see it all,” Chris Harrison tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “You will see a lot of love triangles, drama, romance, love, heartbreak.”
Just in the first look promo of the season, we spotted someone in handcuffs, an ambulance, endless ocean make outs (including Clare Crawley — she’s apparently paying homage to her season with Juan Pablo Galavis), lots of slurred words (thanks, tequila), an intense girl-on-girl make out sesh, tears and Chris getting a door slammed in his face by a female island-goer.
“You saw the door getting slammed in my face and there’s a lot to that,” Chris teases. “It’s probably the craziest thing that’s happened on the show. It’s like the best of The Bachelorette on steroids, times ten.”
‘Bachelor In Paradise': The Perfect Summer Guilty Pleasure
If you’re not sold yet — what, slammed doors and stripping down in bikinis isn’t enough for you? — Chris assures HollywoodLife.com that Paradise is the perfect guilty pleasure. Even better than Bachelor Pad. (Remember that?)
“What worked about Bachelor Pad was the romance. It was the love triangles. It was the entry into the relationships and so we decided to take the game element away and just make it about that,” Chris explains.
“Our fans are going to love it. Newcomers will love it. It is explosive, dramatic, but…like our show at the base, it’s romantic and it’s sweet, it’s sexy, it’s hot, it’s summer,” Chris EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “Don’t think too hard, get a pint of Chunky Monkey and a box of white wine and just get dirty!”
Order taken, Chris!
