Alexandria Chery: Uncle Accuses Suspect Of ‘Inappropriate’ Behavior Before Death

Alexandra Chery's uncle, Ray Joseph, has made shocking accusations against the only suspect in her disappearance, her mother's boyfriend, Sanel Saint Simon. Ray claims that his niece Alex previously accused Sanel of touching her 'inappropriately.' Alexandria Chery, 16, went missing while her mother, Rosalie Joseph, was at work. The only suspect in her disappearance is her mother's longtime boyfriend, Sanel Saint Simon, 43, who was arrested and charged with two misdemeanors just days after Alex was reported missing. Now, Alex's uncle, Ray Joseph, has revealed that he found Sanel "weird" and did not trust him, especially after his niece allegedly accused her mother's boyfriend of touching her inappropriately. Alexandria Chery’s Uncle Accuses Sanel Saint Simon Of ‘Inappropriate’ Behavior

Long before Alex went missing on Monday, July 28 from her Orange County, Fla. home, she had issues with her mom’s boyfriend, Sanel.

Alex’s uncle Ray, her mother’s brother, has made some very disturbing accusations against his sister’s boyfriend, Sanel, stating that his niece once claiming the man she found “creepy” had touched her inappropriately.

“There was allegations before this happened that he might have touched her inappropriately,” Ray told a handful of reporters during a march for Alex on Thursday, July 31. “She mentioned that to a classmate and my younger niece. It just never got to this far right now. I never liked him.”

Sadly, this alleged incident happened in 2013, but Alex’s mother trusted her boyfriend and decided not to file a report.

“They never looked into it because it never gone this far. I guess my sister trusted Sanel, but she didn’t want us to do nothing outrageous,” Ray explained. “Since that point on she was never left alone with him, and he noticed that.”

Ray also shared that his sister was taking Alex’s disappearance extremely hard, which is why she has not attended any of the rallies, memorials, or marches in her daughter’s honor. The concerned uncle, who spent time with Alex the day before she went missing, is upset that police were not involved in the previous allegations regarding Sanel’s inappropriate behavior.

During his interview, Ray even alluded to the idea that it could have prevented his horrible tragedy from happening.

“I’m wishing that she did take proper precaution about that and then take it to the authority, but now it’s kinda too late. This has happened and our niece is out there, her daughter is out there, and she is nowhere to be found.”

FYI: As of Monday, Aug. 4 Orange County Police Department upgraded Sanel’s charges from misdemeanor to felony, and they have asked prosecutors to remove his bond all together.

Our thoughts and condolences remain with Rosalie, Ray, and all of Alex’s friends and family members during this difficult time.
