Ryan Gosling, 33, and Eva Mendes, 40, are elated over the news that they are expecting a baby boy. This is the first child for the couple, and a new report claims that they are already going out of their way to make sure their son has everything he needs before he arrives. Ryan even put together the baby’s crib all by himself!

A baby boy is on the way for Ryan and Eva!

The happy couple are expecting their first child together, and a source recently confirmed to OK! magazine that it will definitely be a little boy.

Eva and Ryan are putting together their baby’s nursery, and although the walls are reportedly a neutral color, the accents they have chosen are all blue. The report goes on to say that assistants have been seen coming into Eva’s house with blue linens and toys.

The couple have also decided on a monkey them, because they have been referring to their unborn baby as a “little monkey.” There will even be monkeys on the wall!

Keeping in tune with Ryan’s eco-friendly lifestyle, most of the baby’s furniture is sustainable. The actor even put together his son’s first crib, a bamboo piece, while Eva discovered a gorgeous antique rocking chair that was the perfect fit.

How exciting for Eva and Ryan! They are going to make great parents when their baby arrives in Sept. 2014.

Ryan Wants To Teach His Son All About Sports

Now that Ryan knows he has a little boy on the way, he already in major dad mode.

The actor is reportedly already gushing about how he will be able to teach his son how to play sports!

“Ryan is just so excited to have a son,” a source close to the actor revealed. “All he talks about is how he can’t wait to teach him baseball and soccer. Eva thinks it’s sweet.”

Wow. Can you imagine the sexy Ryan Gosling teaching a little boy how to swing a bat? Swoon!
