The July 21 episode of ‘Teen Wolf’ featured some seriously shocking revelations. More of the dead pool list was unveiled and someone’s true identity was revealed!
Teen Wolf knows how to surprise its audience and the July 21 episode was the perfect example of that. The Beacon Hills teens continued to face that dire dead pool threat, a certain someone’s identity was finally revealed and Scott (Tyler Posey) almost lost his head! Keyword: Almost.
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Million Dollar Werewolf
This episode of Teen Wolf opened up like one of those scary high school horror movies. A girl was running through the the bus parking lot and her hand had been CHOPPED off. The culprit? Violet (Samantha Logan) and her crazy hot wire. The girl managed to escaped on to a bus and she was mumbling “the sun, the moon, the truth” to herself. Unfortunately for the girl, Violet found her. These two ladies fought it out and it seemed like the girl would escape from Violet’s clutches, but she was killed by Garrett (Mason Dye)!
Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) started up another crazy theory crime wall as he tried to figure out what the dead pool list meant. He revealed to his dad that Lydia (Holland Roden) had transcribed the first part of the list, using Allison as a keyword. (RIP Allison.) However, they needed additional cipher keys to get to the rest of the list and Lydia was going nuts trying to figure it out.
Both Stiles and Scott hypothesized that the list would add up to $117 million dollars — which equals the money that was stolen from the Hale vault. These assassins were going after the names on the list for cold hard cash. They realized that whoever ordered the keg had killed Demarco and they had to be stopped. Watch out, Garrett and Violet.

Kira’s (Arden Cho) dad was questioning her in the hallway before school. While she thought he was talking about the dead pool and assassins, he was just concerned about her joining the lacrosse team.
Meanwhile, Liam/Baby Beta (Dylan Sprayberry) was hitting the gym hard. He needed to relieve some of that anger, which he had a lot of. To add to his frustration, the team was gearing up to play his old school.
But Baby Beta was about to get a whole lot angrier. Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) showed up in the locker room and broke his lacrosse stick! Liam started fuming and actually turning, but Scott was there to prevent Liam from going completely AWOL. Derek said that Liam’s pent up anger would make him stronger. “You’re going to be good at this,” Derek said to Scott. (Werewolf buddies for life!)
Over in banshee territory aka the art room, Malia (Shelley Hennig) was hovering over Lydia as she attempted to figure out the second key. She needed help from one person — Meredith. This should be fun.
During Coach’s class, Stiles was perusing through those gross crime scene photos of the slain supernatural creatures. When Coach called him out for not paying attention, Stiles figured out that the stab wounds on one of the victims was from someone’s lacrosse stick. The person who was after his friends was on the lacrosse team! Dun, dun, dun.
So basically, Scott, Kira and Liam were the biggest targets at the lacrosse game. While there was talk of stopping the game, Scott was not afraid whatsoever. “I’m terrified and I’m not even on the list,” Stiles said. (Spoken like a true man, Stiles.)
However, Scott maybe should be a little afraid. Violet was cooking up some new wolfsbane to put in Garrett’s lacrosse stick/weapon of supernatural destruction in the science lab with Garrett. Violet didn’t understand why they were going after a Beta when they could get an Alpha. Garrett admitted that Scott was way too powerful for them to take on just yet.

Despite the bad blood, Liam was more than ready to face his old team. He even told them to have a good game! However, his former teammates were still upset he demolished their coach’s car and said they were going to break him in half.
This didn’t go over too well with Liam. He had to be seriously restrained by Stiles and Scott in the shower locker room. (SHOWER SCENE!) Scott asked what happened with Liam at his last school. Baby Beta was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder, so he was essentially a ticking time bomb. Liam revealed to Scott that he still wanted to play regardless of the Devenford feud.
“I can do this, especially if you’re there,” Liam confessed. (Dawh!) Stiles told Liam that whoever ordered the keg at Lydia’s lake party had killed Demarco and was after all the supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills. Liam didn’t know who ordered the beer, but he knew who paid for it — Garrett!
In other acts of teamwork, Derek and Chris (JR Bourne) were working together. Derek asked what Chris was going to do when he found Kate. Surprisingly, he admitted she would drop her off in something like a werewolf jail. However, Derek had bigger fish to fry than just worrying solely about Kate. He was starting to lose his power and he believed Kate took it from him!
‘Teen Wolf’ Recap: Ready, Set, Dagger!
It was almost playtime for the Beacon Hills teens and most everyone was ready. Scott pleaded with Coach to sit Liam out for the game, but Coach wanted a win and Scott’s request was DENIED.
Scott was desperate at this point. He asked the head Devenford player to hold off on Liam for this game. Nearly right after the game started, Liam pitched a werewolf fit and threw down his lacrosse stick and started lunging toward the other team.
And Garrett was just waiting in the wind, just waiting for his chance to pounce.
After Lydia’s little banshee signal to Meredith, the crazy girl was back and looking for the redhead. In the cutest/totally wrong idea ever, Deputy Parrish thought Lydia was a psychic. (LOL.) They needed a number from Meredith and she them a very short one. Lydia believed there had to be more numbers and screamed at Meredith to tell her the rest. Later, Malia had the great idea that the numbers weren’t what they were looking for, but maybe the letters they represented.
The numbers spelled out “A-I-D-E-N,” which was the next keyword.
At the game, Kira made a lasting first impression on the lacrosse field. Her sick ninja moves served her well, but Coach cut her from the game for not playing like a “team player.”
On the field, Garrett was side-eyeing Scott big time. Liam and his Devenford foe got into a little scuffle during the game and Scott had to pop his bone back into place! However, the Devenford player didn’t fare so well. Liam was OK and didn’t have any fatal stab wounds or scratches and Scott realized that Liam wasn’t the one Violet and Garrett were after.
The target was Liam’s enemy, Brett, from Devenford. Garrett managed to stab him with the poisoned blade on the field. When Scott went to look for him, Violet tried to go after Scott, but failed miserably. Scott knocked her out like yesterday.
One of the most surprising reveals of the night was the fact that Deputy Jordan Parrish (Ryan Kelley) was on the dead pool list. Is he a werewolf or something else? (He’s cute, that’s for sure.) Another was the scary lady from the season four premiere, who met up with Chris. She forced him to repeat a very dire message: “We hunt those who hunt us.” (Ruh roh.) Does this mean more trouble for Scott and the gang?
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s Teen Wolf? Can you believe Derek is losing his power? Will Scott and the gang be able to stop Violet and Garrett? Will Lydia continue to crack the code? WHAT IS DEPUTY PARRISH? Let us know!
