The July 22 episode of ‘Finding Carter’ was eventful, as usual. Carter and Bird got in a huge fight over a painting Bird made. Meanwhile, Max decided to leave Carter’s house because he felt that he overstayed his welcome.
Finding Carter tested a friendship tonight. When Bird (Vanessa Morgan) revealed a painting at an art showcase that featured Carter (Kathryn Prescott), Carter got upset and they got in a huge fight. Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) and David (Alexis Denisof) fought about expenses when David said that he would buy Carter and Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron) a car. And…there was a big kiss.
‘Finding Carter’: Bird Reveals Dark Painting
Bird invited Carter, Taylor and Max (Alex Saxon) to her art showcase because she painted a special picture in which Carter was the subject. As soon as Carter arrived, Bird whisked her away to meet someone special, her art teacher. Meanwhile, Taylor and Max made small talk about crowds. Taylor awkwardly mentioned that she was not fond of large groups and to her surprise, Max agreed.
Everyone gathered around the painting — that was covered with a white sheet — before it was time for the big reveal. Bird mentioned that the reason the picture was covered up the whole time was because she wanted to wait until her muse was present.
Drum roll, please. Bird removed the sheet to reveal a photo of Carters face with half of it torn off — she looked like a half eaten zombie. Visibly upset, Carter stared at the photo, unable to understand why a “friend” would do this to her.
The next day, as Carter and Taylor walked into school, Taylor wondered if Bird’s painting would be hanging in the hallway. Confident, Carter told her that it would not be there because she asked her to take it down. Carter’s good mood did not last long, however, when she walked around the corner she saw hundreds of flyers on the walls with Bird’s painting on them!
As Carter began to rip down the flyers, Gabe (Jesse Henderson) volunteered to help because he realized that it would take her all day. When they finished cleaning up the hallway, Carter and Gabe made their way down the stairwell and Carter stopped because she wanted to say thank you. Instead of shaking Gabe’s hand or giving him a hug for a job well done like everyone else, she kissed him on the lips!
Unfortunately, their job was not done. Carter and Gabe were met with more flyers and an angry Bird who questioned when they world would stop revolving around Carter. The two got in a screaming match before Bird’s art teacher came out from a classroom and told them that all she wanted was a good show. After 10 minutes, the girls made up and went back to being best friends.
‘Finding Carter’: Parents Fight Over Expenses
That night at dinner, Grant (Zac Pullam) talked about the photo and asked Bird if she could paint a picture like that of him (isn’t that what every young boy wants?). David changed the subject and suggested that they discuss Carter and Taylor getting a car. He handed Carter and Taylor a catalog of used cars for them to pick one out.
David mentioned that he was glad to see that the girls were getting along. Sarcastically, Elizabeth asked if he wanted to know what she thought before she walked out of the room. David followed Elizabeth and saw her on the computer, looking over bills.
Elizabeth asked David how he had the money to buy a car because they certainly did not have the extra cash, however, David insisted that a big check would be coming in soon. This did not satisfy Elizabeth because she kept pressuring him for an answer. She wanted to know what was going to put food on the table because it was evident that he was not pulling his weight in this family. Harsh, Elizabeth.
‘Finding Carter’: Max Says Goodbye
Earlier in the day, Max attempted to do the family’s laundry as a way to thank them for his hospitality. Unfortunately, he got a chocolate bar on one of Elizabeth’s shirts and she joked that he should probably stay away from the laundry, but she knew that his heart was in the right place. Then, Max said that he was probably not the ideal house guest and it was time for him to go. He also mentioned that she should stop worrying about Carter.
That afternoon, Max said goodbye to Taylor and Grant as they stood in the front yard. Max told Grant that he was like a brother to him and that he was awesome. Taylor casually mentioned that she knew that he thought of her like a sister, but Max said that she snuck up on him. Before Max walked away, Taylor asked him to come back and visit soon. He promised that he would.
After Max left, he went to the town gas station. As he put gas in his car, he left a message for Carter to tell her that he decided to leave. While he was on the phone he noticed a woman in a baseball cap staring at him. Max realized that the woman was Lori (Milena Govich)! He walked up to the car and asked what she was doing. Lori told Max that she was hatching a plan to reunite with Carter but that he could not tell Carter.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Max will come back to visit soon? What do you think Lori’s plan is? Let us know in the comments below!
