Prince George’s Adorable New Family Portraits In Honor Of 1st Birthday
Those cheeks! Don’t you just want to squish them?
The Clarence House shared these two super cute new photos of Prince George learning all about the wildlife at the Natural History Museum’s Sensational Butterflies exhibition on July 2 with the help of his loving parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Third in line for the throne, the future King of England is truly fascinated as he reaches out to grab a butterfly while in the arms of Kate. In the photo, Prince George is wearing a casual pair of overalls with a blue polo onesie.
In one photo, the family is seated on a bench — George is on Kate’s knee — and a butterfly has landed right on Prince William’s knuckle. Little George looks on in awe of the beautiful insect, and even tries to grab hold!
On July 19, the palace released a photo of George walking on his own — with no helping hand in sight. He really is growing up right before our very eyes!
Prince George’s First Summer In Scotland
Even though the little Prince will be enjoying a first birthday surrounded by friends and family with a tea party at Kensington Palace on July 22, this will be his first official summer at the family castle in Scotland.
It is a royal family tradition for summers to be spent vacationing at Balmoral Castle, which stands on over 50,000 acres of land. That’s plenty of room for little Georgie to run around!
This is extremely exciting for Prince William, because she spent his summers here as a child. Prince George will play on the same beach, splash in the same pool of water, and get a little muddy in the very same bank his proud father did.
