Rihanna’s ex, Drake, may have taken his own shots at Rihanna at the ESPY Awards on July 16 by being so chummy with Chris Brown, but that doesn’t mean that Rihanna didn’t shade him right back!
Drake, 27, hosted the ESPY Awards on July 16 and was a totally hilarious, magnetic, and interesting host — so why did he have to do a skit with Chris Brown, of all people? You know — the man who threatened to kill Rihanna, the woman whom Drake had been publicly trying to date for years before she gave him a chance? Their chumminess at the ESPYs was a clear diss to Rihanna, but that’s OK — HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Rihanna threw a little shade their way, too!
Rihanna Disses Drake: She Didn’t Watch Him Host At The ESPY Awards
“Rihanna did not watch the ESPYs,” a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. See, Drake and Chris? You two can make your jokes, but Rihanna didn’t pay you any attention!
Nor was Rihanna looking for information about the two — “She found out that Chris and Drake were going to be doing a skit together the same time most everyone else found out, as well,” our source finished. We’re glad to hear that Rihanna is so over those two that they don’t ping her radar whatsoever!
Chris Brown & Drake Once Brawled Over Rihanna Herself
In case you missed the skit, Drake and Chris made light of their feud by joking that Chris (along with Blake Griffin) would cut Drake open during surgery. Chris also temporarily took over hosting duties (calling himself “America’s sweetheart”) as a picture of Drake, tied up, loomed large in the background.
If you’ll recall, Drake and Chris engaged in a bar brawl in 2012 at W.I.P. in New York City, and the rumored cause of their brawl was none other than Queen RiRi herself. (And it’s not like Chris has been on his most angelic behavior since then.)
We’re pretty surprised that Drake and Chris seem to be on such good terms — they’ve even been spotted in the studio together! Up is down, black is white!
So, HollywoodLifers, are you glad that Rihanna didn’t watch the ESPYs? What did you think of the sketch — funny, or not so much? Let us know.
