U.S Citizen Quinn Lucas Schansman Tragically Killed On Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17
The world was rocked on July 17 when Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 crashed, claiming the lives of all 298 passengers and crew on board. As more devastating news about the horrific accident continues to pour out, it has been confirmed that at least one U.S citizen has been lost.
President Obama said in an emotional press conference today, ”At this point, the individual that I mentioned is the sole person that we can definitively say is a U.S. or dual citizen.”
Quinn, who was both a Dutch and United States citizen, was on his way to join the rest of his family, who were already vacationing in Malaysia at the time of the crash, according to the UK’s Daily Mail. He is survived by father Thomas Schansman, mother Katja Teunissen, sister Nerissa Schansman and girlfriend Floor van Dranen.
Floor paid tribute to her boyfriend of 10 months by changing her Facebook cover photo to a picture of the two embracing. So heartbreaking. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Quinn’s loved ones during this difficult time.
