Austin gave his fans exactly what they were looking for — new music! After his newest song, “Say my Name,” was leaked on the internet, he went ahead and released the official audio for the song.
A slow hip hop beat accompanies Austin’s singing and the song reminds us a lot of Drake!
Plus, Austin is showing now that he’s 18, he is mature and can write some pretty sexy lyrics. Such as, “Baby, cut the lights down low. And I’m gon’ treat you like you never felt before.”
So, who is he talking about? Well on June 12, he tweeted a message that was to someone: “I can’t lie. I miss you. You and the music were the only things that I commit to.”
Austin Mahone: Don’t Compare Me To Justin Bieber
Austin has been outspoken about trying to make a name for himself amidst all of the comparisons to Justin Bieber. We have to admit, they are pretty similar — they were both discovered on YouTube and they both have great hair.
However, Austin insists he’s not just “another Justin Bieber.”
“I can kind of see where they’re coming from, but at the same time, it’s kind of obnoxious,” he told the Associated Press. “They see a young kid who sings and dances and … they’re like, ‘Oh another Justin Bieber.’ Like, you don’t even know. You don’t know me. You don’t know my music. You’re just making assumptions.”
