There is never a dull moment for the Robertson clan. When the gang has a craving for crawfish, they search the duck blinds only to find a surprise visitor — among other treasures! Meanwhile, Si and Willie disagreed on how to attract customers at the kids’ car wash.
The July 16 episode of Duck Dynasty was full of family fun. Jase Robertson and some of the Duck Commander employees searched for crawfish and stumbled upon many treasures, including an animal! At the kids’ car wash, Si Robertson and Willie Robertson disagreed on the best way to attract customers and make extra cash. Keep reading to find out what happened!
‘Duck Dynasty’: The Robertson Gang Cleans The Duck Blinds
Jase took some of the guys from Duck Commander on a search for crawfish — in the duck blinds — on the Robertson property.
During their search, Jase admitted that the boys would do whatever it took to get their hands on some crawfish — even if it meant crawling into the duck blinds. Yikes!
John Goodwin, an employee, went into the first duck blind and as he looked around he heard a hissing noise. The only animal that could have made this kind of noise was an alligator — oh no! Where are the Gator Boys when you need them?
Scared, John crawled out of the duck blind and said that the gator was “Godzilla big, like a bull.” Then, Willie went into the duck blind and pulled out the baby gator with his bare hands. Now, how could anyone be afraid of that? Because of this mishap, the guys then decided that it was time to de-bug the duck blinds.
While taking on this task, Jase explained that being a duck hunter was not what the public makes it out to be. There are tedious tasks that go along with the job, and according to Jase this was one of them.
In fact, he compared debugging the duck blinds to a cop’s job. Cops ride around in cop cars and chase the bad guys, but they still have to do paperwork. In this case, the paperwork in duck hunting was debugging the duck blinds. Um, sure Jase, whatever you say!
This project turned out to be a treasure hunt more than anything else. The guys found a tire, a jar of pickles that smelled like pure gasoline, and even a volleyball — John nicknamed it Wilson, like the ball from Castaway. Cute!
The ‘Dynasty’ Kids Have A Car Wash, Willie Tries To Help
Meanwhile, Korie Robertson and the other kids held a car wash at the Robertson family church.
Unfortunately, the day that they chose was not ideal because it was windy and cold. Not exactly car wash weather!
The day before, the weather was 75 degrees and sunny. Willie thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to teach the kids how to roll with the punches, and take life as it comes.
Before Willie could get to that, he commented on the sign — “$5 Car Wash For Charity” — that one of his kids made. Apparently, he had some suggestions for the sign, and thought that they could make improvements and help make it pop.
Korie told Willie to chill out because they were not running a real business, they were just trying to raise some money for a fundraiser. Korie explained that they were putting the word “fun” in fundraiser. Well played, Korie!
Later in the day, Si Robertson showed up and made a similar comment about the sign. When Willie tried to defend his children’s work, Si suggested that they need a wow factor, a big spectacle like a blimp, fireworks or an inflatable make like the ones at car dealerships. They sure were taking this little car wash seriously!
Si took it upon himself to pick up the sign and start spinning it on the side of the road to attract more customers. And guess what? It worked! It looks like Si won this Robertson debate.
HollywoodLifers, can you believe what the Dynasty family did just for crawfish? Do you think Si and Willie were right about the car wash? Let us know your thoughts below!
