Taylor Kitsch In ‘True Detective’ Season 2? Hunky Actor In Talks To Join Show
Taylor Kitsch could be heading back to HBO! The 33-year-old is in talks to join the hit series True Detective for its second season, The Wrap reports.
Both Taylor and actor Colin Farrell are rumored to be circling the series, with Taylor eyed as the younger male lead.
The critically-acclaimed series recently wrapped its first season, with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as its two leads. Matthew and Woody had incredible and magnetic chemistry as partners on the show and have earned Primetime Emmy nominations for their roles.
“I think the people we will cast will be well-known names,” he said. “But that wasn’t our ambition (in season 1).”
The second season will feature four main leads and be set in California.
Taylor is best known for playing the brooding Tim Riggins on the beloved show Friday Night Lights. He starred alongside Mark Wahlberg in the dark war drama Lone Survivor and recently had a career-defining performance in HBO’s The Normal Heart.
We think Taylor would make a great addition to the cast. He can definitely play the dark and tortured soul, which could serve him well in the series. His steely resolve and good looks only add to why we think he should be cast.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think about the rumors of Taylor being cast in True Detective season two? Do you think he would make a good addition? Let us know!
