In the midst of Teresa Giudice’s legal troubles, the ‘RHONJ’ drama queen returns with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and Dina Manzo! (She’s baaaaack.) Three new housewives are also headed over to crazy town. Yep, new blood…but is it thicker than water? Read on for an update on Teresa and Melissa’s relationship!
Six housewives are heating up The Real Housewives of New Jersey this summer (Sunday, July 13), but you’ll only recognize half of them. Identical twins Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea join the cast — yes, there are two Teresa’s — plus Amber Marchese who happens to be a longtime friend to Melissa Gorga. ‘RHONJ': Meet The New Housewives
“They’re over the top. They bring it on,” Dina tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY of the three new Jersey housewives who join the cast for Season 6.
Say goodbye to Jacqueline Laurita, Kathy Wakile and Caroline Manzo, and get ready for an old friend and twins.
“They all have their own thing,” chimes in Melissa who goes way back with Amber, one of the new ladies. “They’re very lovable and they’re spunky, and I think we needed a little bit of that flare so we got it.”
More spunk in the RHONJ cast? Is that really what we need? If we’re not mistaken, table-flipper Teresa Giudice is awaiting her September 23 sentencing, which can send her to jail for up to 50 years for pleading guilty to 41 counts of fraud in March 2014, after declaring bankruptcy and being charged with fraud, alongside her husband Joe Giudice.
Teresa Giudice: Heading To Jail?
Despite her legal troubles, Teresa is keeping on a strong face and her housewives are sticking by her side.
“We’re always there for each other when something’s going down,” says Dina, who attributes her return to rekindling her friendship with Teresa. “When Teresa was going through a hard time, I was there so we became a lot closer…it kind of just happened organically.”
Dina admits that she signed onto Season 6 at the last minute. Of course, we all remember her from seasons past with her larger-than-life sister Caroline who unfortunately will not be on this season — she has her own Bravo spinoff in the works! (Phewf, we love that lady!)
“First and foremost, it’s about her children and it’s about her being a mother,” Melissa tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY of her once-estranged sister-in-law, Teresa. “She’s a strong woman. She’ll make it through.”
So is it safe to say that Melissa and Teresa have resolved their differences? “There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, reveals Melissa. “You can’t give up when you have hard times with family. You have to keep pushing through, and that’s what we did, and I have to say, I’m pretty proud of because we’ve come a long way.”
