This was not the reaction that we were expecting — at all! After hearing that fellow ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo Nida is facing 8 years behind bars, Kenya Moore expressed her condolences to the devastated family.
Kenya Moore, 43, took the high road after hearing about fellow RHOA star, Phaedra Parks, 40, husband Apollo Nida‘s 8-year prison sentence for laundering $2.3 million. The gorgeous former Miss USA took to her Twitter and sent out a supportive message to express her sympathies to the entire family — see the tweet here.
Apollo Nida’s Prison Sentence — Kenya Moore Reacts
After all of the bad blood between Phaedra regarding the rumors that Apollo cheated on her with Kenya, the two reality stars have never been close.
That being said, we are so happy to see that Kenya has decided to put their differences aside, realize that Phaedra could use her support right now, and become the bigger person by tweeting a uplifting message.
You can’t kick someone while they are down even if they fell trying to trip you. Offer them a hand instead. #killthemwithkindness

We couldn’t agree more. As we previously reported, Phaedra was worried that Kenya and the other housewives would take this as a opportunity to to kick her while she’s down, but instead her biggest nemesis on the show has done the opposite.
We are sure that Phaedra really appreciates Kenya’s support, after all she has enough on her plate with now having the sole responsibility of caring for her two young sons, Ayden and Dylan, without worrying about what her cast mates will have to say about Apollo.
Kenya posted a second tweet that she has since deleted that expressed her concern for the children who will now have to be without their beloved father.
Apollo Nida’s Jail Time
Eight years is a long time, and he will surely be missed by his family and friends, but it certainly could have been worse. As we previously reported, the maximum sentence that he could have received was 30 years, but luckily Apollo’s team was able to bring it down.
“Mr. Nida’s lengthy but early small-time criminal history is simply not in the same league as the ‘violent offenders, drug kingpins and perpetrators of far more serious offenses’ that Criminal History Category V was designed to address,” his legal team said in a statement.
We wish Phaedra and her children the best during this trying time. We are so glad that she has the support of her cast mates and can focus solely on doing her best to raise Ayden and Dylan.
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you surprised by Kenya’s kind words?
