‘The Bachelorette’: Eric Hill’s Death Revealed
Getting to know Eric throughout the season, fans raved about his kindness, positive outlook on life and his good looks. Eric proved to be a true gentleman, and HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that he wasn’t just a great guy in front of the cameras — he was just as fantastic in person.
Eric Hill Was Looking For Love Before ‘The Bachelorette’
“He was super nice and wanted to know more about me,” a 25-year-old New York resident told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about getting to know Eric whom she met on Tinder in October 2013, before The Bachelorette premiered. “We first starting talking to each other probably like two months before our first date, and then he was in other countries and would once in a while talk to me — he had my number so he would text me.”
The pair met up for a sushi date at Haru in Manhattan when Eric had traveled to New York City to visit a friend, and texted her to finally meet.
“He told me I was prettier in person than I was in my Tinder photos and I looked at him and said, ‘Really? You look the same,'” she says with a laugh. “He was really hot!”
There was way more to Eric than his good looks. “I felt like I was in yoga class with him!” she says, referring to his calm character. “He didn’t drink at dinner — he said he didn’t really drink — and he talked about his family who lived in California, but he lived in Utah.”
Just like Eric talked to Andi about his world travels, he also told the young lady who he recently dated. “He showed me all of his Instagram pictures of all the places he traveled,” says says. “He talked about paragliding and I remember I was like, ‘Oh my god, that’s so scary.'”
After Eric left New York, the two did not keep in touch, but when the woman saw Eric on The Bachelorette, she texted him. Of course, she never heard back, and when she kept watching, she had learned of his death and was shocked. “I freaked out.”
