Justin Ross Harris, 33, appeared in court on July 3 for a hearing in which the state of Georgia openly laid out their case against him. Among the shocking new details revealed against Justin in the alleged murder of his son, Cooper Harris, 22 months, is that he and his wife, Leanna Harris, had not one but two life insurance policies for their son.
Unbelievable.
Just when you think this case could not get any more shocking, it does. How sad.
Det. Phil Stoddard has revealed that little Cooper had not one, but TWO life insurance policies on his life.
During the July 3 hearing, the detective shared that there were policies for $2,000 and $25,000 for the 22-month-old.
Apparently, Justin’s wife, Leanna, “was complaining about his purchasing, sporadic purchasing or overcharging credit cards.”
This is just the latest in a series of new evidence that has completely blown our minds.
Earlier in the hearing, Det. Stoddard revealed that while Cooper was dying of hyperthermia inside Justin’s car, the father-of-one was “sexting” with at least 6 different women.
It should be noted that both Justin and his wife, Leanna, have remained stoic and emotionless throughout the hearing — even when Det. Stoddard described in gruesome detail how Cooper looked hours after he died inside of his father’s vehicle.
Poor Cooper was already in rigor mortis, and Det. Stoddard revealed that he believes Cooper died before noon.
Our hearts ache for Cooper. Our thoughts go out to his extended loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
