Denied! T.I.’s wife, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, totally blew off Floyd Mayweather Jr. on the BET Awards red carpet on June 29. Is she trying to avoid further drama?
At the BET Awards on June 29, there were a number of potential awkward scenarios that could have gone down on the red carpet. For example, Keshia Chanté was hosting the carpet along with Shad Moss, and August Alsina was the young ingenue darling of the awards, and he had thrown her mega shade on 106 & Park in April for asking about the R&B singer’s feud with Trey Songz. Well, one interaction was successfully avoided between T.I.‘s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and Floyd Mayweather Jr., since Tiny totally ignored him on the carpet!
Floyd Mayweather Dissed By T.I.’s Wife, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris
As Tiny walked down the press line, Floyd called out Tiny’s name and she totally ignored him, according to a video obtained by TMZ. Considering that T.I. was there, it looked like Tiny was trying to avoid another brawl.
To refresh your memory, back in May, T.I. threw a punch at Floyd in a Fatburger in Las Vegas. Not the smartest of moves, considering that Floyd punches people as his job, but it was later revealed that T.I. was upset because Tiny posted a snap on Instagram of herself with Floyd’s daughter, Iyanna Mayweather. Um, yeah. That’s it. That was the offense. T.I. took this to mean that Floyd was after his woman, and handled it not-so gracefully.
T.I.: Does He Need One Or Several Chill Pills?
T.I.’s anger problem is pretty well-known at this point, and while, on the one hand, it makes sense that Tiny shied away from that interaction just for the sake of keeping the peace, she really shouldn’t have to. Prior to the brawl, she, T.I., and Floyd were all good friends, and T.I. needs to chill. Remember that time he threatened to “end” Azealia Banks? We do!
So, HollywoodLifers, what do you think? Was Floyd dissed, or did Tiny simply not hear him? Should Tiny be able to speak to whomever she wants without worrying about her husband — who dresses like a mild-mannered tennis grandpa, by the way — flying off the handle? Let us know!
