Carrie Fisher’s Daughter Cast In ‘Star Wars’ Movie
Isn’t this exciting? More casting news from the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII!
The younger version of Princess Leia will be portrayed by Carrie’s own daughter, Billie Lourd, reports IGN. If this report is correct, that means Billie will be stepping right into her mother’s shoes for her first acting role ever.
Billie is the perfect fit, because she is fortunate enough to have a genetic advantage over any other actress — she looks just like her mom!
The Sun suggests that producer JJ Abrams chose Billie specifically for her “likeness” to Carrie.
Carrie’s reps have yet to respond to HollywoodLife.com‘s request for comment.
Billie Is Already On Set Filming ‘Star Wars’
A source close to the set claims that Billie joined her mother on set in early June 2014.
“Billie flew into the UK to join her mother earlier this month,” a source told The Sun, as reported by the Daily Mail.
And if you were wondering how Carrie felt about her daughter filling her shoes, she couldn’t be happier!
“Carrie backed the move as she wanted somebody in her family to play her most famous role.”
Who knew Star Wars could be such a family affair? Awesome!
