World Cup Live Stream 2014 — Watch Netherlands Vs. Mexico
Here are today’s big games:
12:00 p.m. ET — Netherlands Vs. Mexico
Though they limped into the tournament, Mexico has actually been one of the biggest surprises in this World Cup. Not only did El Tri win two of their group matches, they also held off Brazil to a scoreless tie. They’ll need another herculean effort like that in this game against the Netherlands. The Dutch have emerged as one of the favorites to win this whole thing after pounding Spain 5-1 and notching two other resounding wins. Will this be a David and Goliath matchup that plays to form, or will Mexico actually be able to kill the giant?
4:00 p.m. ET — Costa Rica Vs. Greece
This is a matchup that not many predicted. First of all, Costa Rica surprised everyone by winning the Group of Death Jr. that featured the likes of Uruguay, England and Italy. Meanwhile, Greece sat at the bottom of Group C until the very final day of group play, in which they eked out a win against Cote d’Ivoire and leapfrogged everyone else to qualify for the Round of 16. This game’s wide open, guys. Costa Rica has looked more convincing than Greece so far, but it might only be a matter of time before they come crashing back down to earth.
