When has John Legend NOT made us swoon? The sexy singer performed another lovely rendition of ‘You And I’ that was soulful and sweet at the BET Awards on June 29, but he also performed a beautiful duet with Jhené Aiko AND a tribute to Lionel Richie. Don’t we all wish we could be Chrissy Teigen?
John Legend, 35, is just perfect. At the BET Awards on June 29, the singer performed a romantic balled of his hit song “You And I.” The song was definitely written for his lovely wife Chrissy Teigen, 28, but we’re going to just pretend that he is singing that beautiful song for us. He transitioned his song into a gorgeous duet to Jhené Aiko‘s “The Worst” and then later gave a wonderful tribute to Lionel Richie!
John Legend Performs ‘You And I’ & Duets With Jhené Aiko At BET Awards
In one of the sexiest performances of the night, John performed his epic hit “You And I” for the BET Awards audience. As always, John was spot-on with his vocals and clearly cannot falter in any performance.
John’s performance was so soulful and sexy. But just when we thought it was over, he started a flawless duet to Jhené Aiko‘s “The Worst.” These two had crazy musical chemistry. The ballad was seriously amazing due to their vocals and John’s piano playing. The song may be titled “The Worst,” but Jhené and John’s rendition was clearly one of the BEST of the night!
Seriously, Chrissy is so lucky! John is an amazing performer and he knocked his BET Awards rendition of “You And I” out of the park!
Just like his Billboard Music Awards and CMT Awards performance, John made us swoon with his smooth and sensual vocals. It’s no surprise that the audience loved it. In addition, John gave a lovely tribute to Lionel Richie by performing on the piano and singing Lionel’s hits.
John was nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist at the BET Awards, and we definitely think he deserved to come away with a win. John’s had a great year and we love that he keeps performing his amazing songs for us!
So yeah, John performed and everyone else can just go home now.
