Kate Gosselin, 39, is at the center of a controversial new book titled Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World, The Rise and Fall of a Reality TV Queen. Author Robert Hoffman, who reportedly tracked Kate and her children for years at the height of her fame, makes harsh accusations that Kate often hits her children with something called “the spanker” until they get “happy” again. The book also details her alleged love affair with her bodyguard, Steve Neild.
Wow. Just days after her return to television, Kate Gosselin is already being dragged through the mud.
Robert Hoffman, a former journalist, has penned and released a revealing tell-all — complete with allegations of child abuse and so much more, reveals the Daily Mail.
Kate allegedly used something called “the spanker” to hit her children until they were “happy” again, according to her standards. The book also reveals that Kate often wrote in a private journal about her troubles disciplining the children, and even believed her son Colin, 2 years old at the time, did things specifically to annoy her. Colin spent a lot of time sitting in a corner staring at the wall as punishment for his “intentional” bad behavior.
There are also claims that Kate did not play with her children, and that she did not have an ounce of maternal instincts inside of her.
Not only does Robert detail accounts of Kate abusing her children with something called the “spanker,” he also claims that she somehow managed to manipulate her fertility treatments so that she could get pregnant with a second set of multiples. According to the book, this was all part of a “master plan” for her to find fame and fortune — through her children.
Kate allegedly found a shady fertility doctor that she referred to as the “African Doctor,” who helped her manipulate her second pregnancy to be one with multiple babies. The doctor allegedly inject her with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), which helps woman ovulate and release eggs.
Robert claims that Kate knew if she could give birth to two different sets of multiples, she would be able to achieve a level of fame and fortune she often dreamed of. Crazy!
Of course, a tell-all about Kate would not be complete without covering her alleged love affair with her longtime family bodyguard, Steve.
The protector has served as the family’s security detail since Jon & Kate Plus 8 was still on air, and in Robert’s book he claims that Kate’s affair with Steve began before she and Jon were divorced.
The book reveals that once Jon caught onto Kate and Steve’s affair, he pulled out of filming for the show. Kate allegedly offered Jon a contract which allowed him to have girlfriends and live his own life so long as he showed up for filming, and then soon after fired the children’s nanny solely because she got along with Jon.
Robert also claims that Kate started taking money of the joint bank accounts she had with Jon and hiding them in trust accounts, with Steve named as the trustee.
This book sounds intense — with lots of eye-opening allegations about Kate and how she has built an empire around her and her children.
