While Justin Ross Harris claims forgetfulness is the reason he left his 22-month-old son in a hot car that lead to his death, new revelations in the investigation paint a different picture. Before his son’s death, Justin researched how long it would take for an animal to die in the same way, according to a new report.
We have very disturbing new details about the ongoing investigation into Justin Ross Harris, 33, leaving his son Cooper Harris strapped into his car seat in the back of his car while Justin was at work for seven hours on June 18. New details allegedly show that Justin premeditated leaving his young son in such a hopeless situation.
Justin Ross Harris: Researched Animals Dying In Hot Cars Before Son’s Death
According to a new report, police have obtained Justin’s work computer from Home Depot — and have found Internet searches that are very telling. In Justin’s computer history, “someone searched for information on how long it takes for an animal to die in a hot car,” a law enforcement source (in the Georgia county where the alleged crime happened) reveals, according to Fox 5 News.
The source does not reveal when the computer search was conducted, but it sheds so much light on this case. All we can say is, “Wow.” Hearing that the murder was allegedly premeditated against an innocent young child is simply sickening.
While an online petition to get Justin’s charges dropped has been signed by more than 11,000 people online, Justin is currently being held in the Cobb County Detention Center without bond on charges of felony murder and cruelty to a child in the second degree.
Eyewitnesses Speak Up: Justin Was ‘Acting Up’ After Son’s Death
On the day of the 22-month-old child’s death, eyewitnesses say Justin was acting very odd. “I know he had lost his baby but he was acting up more than he should have been. It seemed like acting to me. When he pulled in and people started asking him what had happened, he said that the baby had just started choking,” witness Edward Cockerham, 49, told the Daily Mail. People are also confused as to why Justin claimed that his son had choked.
As new details come to light in this case, things just get more and more sad. This poor child and the family who loved him must be so devastated — our thoughts are with them.
