U.S. Olympic gold medalist soccer player Hope Solo was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence on June 21, according to a new report. The incident allegedly involved Hope, her 17-year-old nephew and her sister.
Hope Solo, 32, allegedly hit her sister and her teenage nephew at her Kirkland, Washington, home in the early morning hours of June 21, according to breaking news reports. Hope shares the home with her NFL player husband Jerramy Stevens.

Kirkland Police Department Patrol Units responded to a 911 call made at about 1 a.m. on June 21, according to the Seattle Times. “The male caller stated that a female at the residence was ‘hitting people’ and they could not get her to stop or to leave the house. Officer arrived and immediately heard the sounds of the disturbance inside the residence,” Seattle Times quotes the Kirkland police as stating.
“They entered and contacted several persons; one being Hope A Stevens (Solo) who appeared intoxicated and upset. As officers made contact, they observed visible injuries on Solo’s 17-year-old nephew and on Solo’s sister. After receiving statements of the persons involved, Officers determined that Solo was the primary aggressor and had instigated the assault,” the report states.
Hope , who is goalkeeper for the Seattle Reign FC, was ultimately arrested for “2 counts of Domestic Violence Assault 4th Degree.” She was booked into King County detention facility and will have a mandatory court date on June 23. Hope is reportedly being held without bail.

The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony despite the fact that Jerramy had been taken to court on charges of fourth degree domestic violence just one day prior. He was ultimately let go due to insufficient evidence.
