LOL alert! Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and David Bowie did an amazing cover of the classic “Dancing In The Street” in 1985. The rockstar duo shake, shimmy and sing to their hearts content in the video. In a new remix, the music is removed — and it’s hilarious! Watch it here.
There’s no doubt that Mick Jagger, 70, and David Bowie, 67, are two of the coolest and most legendary rockers in the world. That being said, their “Dancing In The Street” video from almost 30 years ago has a reputation for being pretty SUPER campy.
David Bowie & Mick Jagger’s ‘Dancing In The Street’ Video’s Silent Remix
The original “Dancing In The Street” music video screams, “This is the ’80s,” with Reebox sneakers, fringed hair, bright silk shirts (for Mick) and even a big old trench coat (for David).
If you take away the music in a music video, what can you possibly have left? A hilarious 58 seconds, that’s what! Sound mixer Mario Wienerroither has his own music-less video series, and his latest creation involves this classic video. Mario has removed the music, but inserted the pitter-patter of Mick’s dancing shoes. He even throws random sounds like an oncoming train and a burp into the mix.
Mick Jagger: Rolling Stones Rocker Becomes Great Grandfather!
Mick Jagger is not only a rockstar — he’s also a new great-grandfather! Assisi, daughter to Mick’s Jade, 42, gave birth to her first child, a little girl, earlier in 2014. How exciting! Despite his great-grandpa status, Mick still rocks with The Rolling Stones every chance he gets. He’s the true definition of a rock star!
