It looks like Miley Cyrus is sticking up for fellow pop star Justin Bieber. Miley told ‘Rolling Stone’ in September 2013 that she was a ‘mentor’ for the Biebs ‘in a way.’ Find out what she’s saying about him now!
Miley Cyrus, 21, has stuck up for Justin Bieber, 20, in the past — but that was before his DUI and his racist remarks. However, Miley still stood by Justin and defended him on the Today Show in Australia saying that everyone should be able to have the time to “grow up.”
Miley Cyrus Defends Justin Bieber
When Richard Wilkins asked Miley about Justin on the Today Show in Australia on June 16, Miley stood by Justin and had nothing but encouraging words for him.
“I think people should have time to grow up and figure out who they are,” she said, according to Belfast Telegraph. “I think people need to sit and think of the times in their lives they were not proud of who they were. Imagine if that was completely exploited and everyone had their opinions.
Although we don’t agree with every decision the Biebs makes, Miley does have a point that he is making these mistakes with the whole world judging his every move.
This Isn’t The First Time Miley’s Stood By Justin
Miley has given some words of wisdom to Justin in the past. On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on January 31, she addressed Justin directly, saying, “You’ve got a lot of money and pay people to make sure you don’t get in trouble.”
Miley also showed her support for her friend back in October 2013 when she wore a shirt with Justin’s face on it along with the words “Reefer Fever.”
Justin has been under much scrutiny the past few months after a string of bad behavior including egging a neighbor’s house, being arrested for a DUI, and telling racist jokes.
The good news is, our sources at HollywoodLife.com say that Justin is growing out of his “bad boy phase” now that he’s back with Selena Gomez.
