We all know Commissioner Gordon from the Batman legacy, but where did he get his start? Gotham. Ben McKenzie stars as Detective Gordon, a young rookie who protects the city from all evil — think Catwoman, The Penguin and a very twisted Jada Pinkett Smith. Read on to see the villains in action!

Batman Begins In ‘Gotham’ — WATCH New Trailer

“Looking into the eyes of a criminal, you have to ask, how will a little girl, a low level thug, a businesswoman become the most dangerous villains around?” asks Detective Gordon in the brand new trailer from Gotham (watch above).

“Simple answer: they all got their start in this city. And it’s up to us to stop them.”

Gordon teams up with Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) who’s gritty, tough and has a slight drinking problem. (What else is going to get you through the day, taking down Batman’s future enemies?)

Newcomers Camren Bicondova and Clare Foley portray young Catwoman and Poison Ivy, respectively, while 13-year-old David Mazouz (Touch) plays Bruce Wayne.

‘Gotham’: Fall TV Hit attended an advanced screening of the dark action series, and we’ll be the first to tell you it’s intense.

Whether you are a Batman fan or not, you can jump right into Gotham. But one thing all Ben McKenzie fans can totally agree on: he’s come a long way from Ryan Atwood — hey, the rough streets of The OC prepped him for the the east coast.

HollywoodLifers, are you as excited for Gotham, as we are? Let us know your thoughts on the new trailer!
