Landon Donovan Joining ‘DWTS’ Next Season?
Landon Donovan didn’t make it to the World Cup in Brazil, but he might foxtrot his way onto national TV!
“They have wanted Landon forever for the show,” a Dancing With The Stars insider EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “Now that everyone is having World Cup fever and Landon was left off the team…they want him to win another trophy — the Mirror Ball trophy.”
We don’t blame the network! Athletes have a great track record for winning on the show! Landon, 32, is considered to be one of the best American soccer players off all time so who says he won’t be just as good when it comes to tangoing?
HollywoodLife.com has also learned that if Landon declines the offer, ABC still wants a soccer hunk to join the dancing duos.
“They are putting the full court press on getting him this time and will also reach out to anyone from the U.S. team that makes a name for themselves in the next month,” the insider adds. “They are very interested in making it finally happen. What better time then now?”
Dancing With The Stars returns in Fall 2014.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Landon would be a good addition to DWTS? Let us know if you’d like to see him tango down the dance floor!
