‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction': On Set Look At Mark Wahlberg, A Hero

Not sure about the new installment of ‘Transformers?’ This exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the film will absolutely persuade you. Mark Wahlberg reveals what it’s like playing Cade, the man who will do anything for two things — his daughter and his transformer.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters on June 27 but HollywoodLife.com has an exclusive look at Mark Wahlberg‘s view of his character Cade Yeager and the challenges he has balancing his adoration of transformers and the love and protectiveness he has for over his daughter. ‘Transformers’ Clip — Cade Protects His Daughter

“My daughter is getting a little frustrated with me pursuing my dream of being an inventor,” Mark Wahlberg explains in the minute-long clip, showing clips of the film. “So when we come across the truck, her first instinct is just to get rid of this thing. And nobody understands the magnitude of the ramifications of what the got will do to anybody who is holding onto a Transformer.”

In the clip, we see that when authorities come looking for Optimus Prime, he’s not about to put his life at risk — or lose Optimus.

“It gives him a great reason to stand up and be a hero, to protect his little girl,” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura says in the clip.

“There’s no trying to settle things peacefully, so I have to do everythign to protect my daughter,” Mark adds in.
