As more secrets are unburied, more mysteries come about. On the June 17 episode of ‘Pretty Little Liars’, Mrs. DiLaurentis’ body was finally found in the ground. But did we find out who killed her? Read on for all the creepy details!
“You don’t need to run anymore. ‘A’ is gone.” That’s the advice the liars give Alison (Sasha Pieterse) at the start of the June 17 episode of Pretty Little Liars. Turns out, “A” is not gone, Jason (Drew Van Acker) is super creepy, Aria (Lucy Hale) is going down a dark path and the girls might have to keep on running.
Alison Tells A Pretty Little Lie
Alison turns herself into Detective Holbrook (Sean Faris), along with the girls, but she tells one big lie: she says she was kidnapped and her friends helped save her. The only problem? Her friends weren’t in on this plan, and everyone is questioning the story. Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) parents are overly concerned, and Aria’s brother is weirdly curious.
Also curious about Aria’s brother? Besides the fact that he’s all of a sudden super hot, he tells Mona (Janel Parrish) that he misses her. Let’s hope he doesn’t join the “A” team to woo over a crazy girl.
It didn’t take long for us to realize that “A” isn’t dead. Ali receives a text: “The truth will bury you in a New York minute.” But…the liars still think “A” is long gone. (Besides Aria who is smart enough to realize that Shana wasn’t “A” and is freaking out over the fact the she killed the girl.)
Spencer and Emily are onto Jason. They think he’s covering up for Mrs. DiLaurentis’ deeds from the night the Ali went missing.
Speaking of Mrs. D., Ali and the girls are wondering where the heck she is and so is Ali’s dad. Well, she’s buried!
Toby Is Back!
Toby (Keegan Allen) surprises Spencer at her house and it’s the first time we’ve seen her smile all season. We don’t blame her — we’re rooting for Spoby!
Toby showed up to have a pow wow with Spencer’s mom, telling her that something’s up with Melissa (Torrey DeVitto). Melissa told her parents that she rushed back from London because she saw Toby. Well, turns out, that never happened.
Let’s take a moment to talk about how Toby is the best boyfriend ever. He went all the way to London just to get answers for Spencer! And she let’s him know how much she missed him with a super steamy hookup scene.
The Rosewood Brothers Need To Chill
As if Aria isn’t dealing with enough (she’s a cold blooded killer), she walks into her own house to be surprised by her brother on a date — with Mona.
Mona is trying to be all Mother Teresa, providing whistles for all of the girls at school so that they can protect themselves from “Alison’s kidnapper” so she hands Aria a safety kit, insisting how happy she is to see her. Well, until Aria fires off, reminding Mona that she knows what she was up to the night that Ali went missing.
Mona’s response? “How is Mr. Fitz doing? Will he make a full recovery?” Ouch. Too soon.
Aria’s brother isn’t the only sibling we have an issue with these days. Jason nearly makes Hanna pee in her pants (she says so herself!), scaring the living daylights out of her when he slams up against her car window, threatening her and Emily because he saw them talking to his dad. Yep, Jason is definitely hiding something.
Alison Vs. Mona
Alison brings a rose to her own grave. Um, creepy. Even creepier? Mona shows up behind her.
Ali says that she needs to say goodbye to the girl who’s really in that grave so that she can move on. “I know you hated me and wanted me to go straight to hell. Going there was easy. It’s coming back that’s hard,” she tells Mona. She also begs her to be her friend. “I need you Mona.”
Turns out, Mona is thinking more along the lines of enemy. Not only did she admit that she sent the text to Ali (“The truth will bury you in a New York minute”), but she hits her with a major zinger: “You’re gonna wish you stayed dead.”
Secrets Are Uncovered: Mrs. DiLaurentis Is Found
Just as Spencer is questioning Jason’s whereabouts in New York, the girls hear Pepe (Ali’s dog — yes, she got a dog earlier in the episode) barking loudly. Pepe came across a body buried in the yard: Mrs. DiLaurentis’ to be exact.
Everyone, including Jason, looks shocked — except for Ali. She is standing in the center of the chaos, looking strangely content.
HollywoodLifers, what’s up with Jason? Who do you think “A” could be, at this point? Let us know!
