WWE legend Pat Patterson, 73, is finally going public with his sexuality. The wrestling star has been staying quiet for over 50 years and has hid this secret for way too long. While filming his latest reality show, ‘Legends’ House’, Pat revealed the bombshell.

Pat Patterson is known to be one of the greatest wrestlers to come out of the WWE, and now he’s rocking the sports world yet again with a total bombshell. He made his announcement on June 12, during the season finale of Legends’ House. He is tired of hiding and wanted to come out publicly about his love life, but do other WWE wrestlers support him?

Pat Patterson: WWE Legend Reveals He Is Gay After 50 Years Of Hiding

In the world of sports, sexuality is a touchy subject. As of late, it’s becoming more common for athletes to feel secure enough to openly announce they’re gay and that has made all the difference.

Now, at the age of 73, Pat Patterson can finally take a deep breath and live the remainder of his life without a crushing weight on his shoulders. The former pro wrestler is the latest athlete to come out as a gay athlete.

According to TMZ, Pat has kept his sexual orientation a secret for 50 years, but he finally made the announcement in front of his peers on Legends’ House and they were more than supportive of him!

Pat emotionally told his fellow wrestling legends, “For once in my life I’m going to be me, now.”

The reaction from them in turn was very heartfelt and moving. The guys not only supported him, but said, “We love you Pat … we always love you.”

Pat Isn’t The First WWE Star To Come Out As Gay

Pat isn’t the first WWE Superstar to announce his orientation; back in August 2013, Darren Young revealed his long-kept secret.

Now that the WWE chairman is open about his sexual orientation, maybe he can take on a greater role within the WWE in terms of promoting tolerance and respect. We hope so!

What do you think, HollywoodLifers, would Pat make a great spokesperson for gay athletes? Let us know!
