Well that’s awkward. Chris just got out of jail and for his first night out, he probably didn’t want to run into Drake. However, that’s exactly what happened — and HollywoodLife.com was there to see exactly how it all went down.
Drake may have been on seeing along to Chris Brown‘s song, “Loyal” at Summer Jam, but that doesn’t mean he wants to party with him. On June 10, both rappers arrived at the Maxim Hot 100 party sponsored by Patron at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Cali. So, what happened?
Chris Brown & Drake Party At Maxim Hot 100
Around 12:15 AM, Drake arrived to the party to celebrate Maxim‘s Hot 100, but he didn’t stay long, HollywoodLife.com can tell you exclusively. He hung out for a bit with T.I., but then Chris Brown arrived just a few minutes later.
“Once [Drake] found out that Chris Brown was there he left the building,” our eyewitness told us. “He didn’t want to be there with Chris in the building.”
We get why Drake would leave — since he’s been on and off with Rihanna, it’s probably a little strange being in the room with her ex, especially since the two have physically fought before. In June 2012, the two allegedly threw bottles at each other after Drake passed a note to Chris about sleeping with Rihanna.
Drake & Chris — Will They Ever Be Friends?
“I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down,” Drake told GQ about the fight. “It’s embarrassing, the amount of media coverage…Two rappers fighting over the woman. He’s not even a rapper, but still, it’s the last way you want your name out there. It distracts from the music. But he’s made me the enemy, and that’s the way it’s gonna stay, I guess.”
Well, you would think that now that both have moved on from Riri they could put it all behind them, especially since they were in the studio together in October 2013. However, once Drake started seeing Rihanna, we know that Chris wasn’t about to become friends with him again.
However, Chris is now with Karrueche Tran (even though he was hitting on models at the party), and Drake has been flirting non-stop with his “love” Nicki Minaj. So, what’s the issue?
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Should Drake have stayed at the club to make amends? Or is it good he left to avoid confrontation? Let us know!
