‘Love & Hip Hop’: Fans Mourn Waka Flocka’s Brother After New Episode

So sad! More than five months after Waka Flocka Flame’s brother KayO Redd committed suicide on Dec. 29, 2013, the ‘Round of Applause’ rapper opened up about the tragedy during an emotional new episode of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ on June 9. Waka’s fans were so moved by the rapper’s heartfelt words that they took to Twitter to mourn KayO.

Waka Flocka Flame is still recovering after his younger brother and aspiring rapper KayO Redd‘s shocking suicide, and he released some of his emotions during tonight’s episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. Thankfully, Waka has the support of all of his loving fans, who helped make the phrase “Aww Waka” trend on Twitter!

Poor Waka! He’s clearly still coping with the loss of his brother, and while he has his wife, Love & Hip Hop star Tammy Rivera, to turn to for support, tonight he chose to open up to his fans, who were clearly touched by his tears. Here’s what some of them had to say on Twitter:

Waka Flocka Flame’s Younger Brother KayO Redd Dies At 27

Waka’s brother KayO Redd died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Dec. 29, 2013. The 27 year old was in the midst of launching his own rap career and even promoted his work on the day of his passing, tweeting, “Make Sure You Go Vote & Download My Latest Mixtape Redd Kisses: http://brev.is/0R57  #YNS #ReddKisses.

Waka reached out on Twitter after KayO’s death, first saying “God please bless me,” and later linking to a touching photo tribute of KayO. We continue to send thoughts and prayers out to Waka and the rest of KayO’s friends and family.
