In spite of Travolta’s efforts to get everyone to “let it go,” Idina’s Frozen co-star Jonathan Groff reminded us all of the hilarious flub with a pretty comical imitation at the Tony Awards on June 8. As if the massive media buzz around Travolta’s major mispronunciation wasn’t enough, Frozen star Jonathan Groff just had to take the hilarious opportunity of introducing Idina by paying homage to the big bluff.
In a Travolta-like manner, he introduced Idina as “wicked-ly talented” before her performance for her latest Broadway hit, If/Then. And yes, he said her name correctly! Adele Dazeem, who?
Even though John Travolta encouraged everyone after his Oscar flub to “let it go,” we think Jonathan’s introduction was hilarious and the audience loved it.
Idina Menzel Forgives John Travolta For Oscars Flub
John Travolta was mortified when he introduced Idina Menzel as “Adele Dazeem” for her Academy Award debut performance of Frozen’s “Let It Go.”
Luckily, Idina wasn’t going to let the major flub stop her from enjoying her night and pulling off one amazing performance.
Frozen ended up bringing home two Academy Awards and Idina tweeted in good spirits, “Thanks for the introduction John! #Oscars.”
