Could Lucy Hale have been our Anastasia Steele instead of Dakota Johnson? The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress admitted in a revealing new interview that she auditioned for a part in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ films! Can you imagine the sweet and innocent starlet in one of the movie’s racy roles?
Lucy Hale, 24, is most famous for her role as the devious and daring Aria Montgomery on ABC Family’s hit show Pretty Little Liars, but a new report reveals that the actress and singer tried out for a role in the ultra-sexy Fifty Shades of Grey movies!
Lucy Hale In ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’? — Actress Auditioned For A Role
“I auditioned for Fifty Shades of Grey,” the actress confessed to Us Weekly.
How shocking! Lucy’s personality is SO sweet and demure, but it sounds like the brunette beauty wanted to show off a totally different side of herself in the sex-filled film! Lucy did not say whether she was passed over for the role or she got and offer and decided to turn it down, but either way, we’re a little disappointed we won’t be seeing her on the big screen!
In case you’ve been living under a rock, the upcoming Fifty Shades flick is based on the first of three best-selling books by E.L. James. The first movie is due out on February 14, 2015.
Inside Lucy’s New Singing Career
NOT getting a spot on the Fifty Shades cast could be the reason Lucy decided to focus on a new singing career! Lucy released her first album, The Road Between, on June 3, and she admitted to Flare magazine that Taylor Swift was one of her inspirations!
“Taylor’s untouchable. She made country quote-unquote ‘cool.’ And she made it OK to talk about your problems. And be vulnerable. And talk sh*t about your ex-boyfriend. That’s so fun! Everyone wants to do that,” Lucy told the mag.
Lucy is amazing as an actress — and singer — and we would’ve loved to see her on the big screen in Fifty Shades, but we guess everything happens for a reason.
