Whoa! Lady Antebellum kicked the CMT Awards into high gear with their new hit, “Bartender.” Their super fun performance even featured lasers. How cool!
Lady Antebellum took the CMT Music Awards stage on Wednesday, June 4 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee to perform their latest hit song, “Bartender.” The high-energy song kept the crowd on their feet, and it is clear that “Bartender” is going to be one of 2014’s top summer hits.
Lady Antebellum Performs ‘Bartender’ — CMT Awards
Lady Antebellum once again wowed with one of their most energetic songs ever. Hilary Scott looked absolutely amazing on the red carpet in a striped L’Wren Scott dress but changed for her performance into a corset-top dress! She danced around the stage while the band joined in on their new hit — and it’s definitely a new one we’re so excited about it.
Plus, there were lasers — of course it looked amazing.
When it comes to planning a huge performance like Lady A’s at the CMT Awards, most artists get to make some pretty high-profile demands.
In Lady A’s case? Lasers. Yes, that’s right, just some lasers!
“It was my only request,” Charles Kelley said during a backstage interview before the show.
“I said, ‘I don’t care what we do as long as we’ve got lasers.’ There’s something about the song, ‘Bartender.’ It’s talking about being out at a club and has a lot of references to a disco ball, so I wanted there to be a lot of crazy, kind of strobey lights kind of stuff.”
Great choice, Charles! They lasers were a perfect fit for Lady A’s performance.
