Trista Sutter was the first ever ‘Bachelorette’ and she’s still tuning into the hit series! Trista spoke exclusively to HollywoodLife.com about Andi Dorfman’s season, and how difficult it is for her to watch Eric Hill, after his tragic death.
Eric Hill left The Bachelorette on the June 2 episode, but although he’s no longer in the running of Andi Dorfman‘s suitors, the entire season is dedicated to his amazing life. Keep reading for Trista Sutter‘s touching words about Eric.
‘The Bachelorette’: Trista Sutter Remembers Eric Hill
Former Bachelorette Trista Sutter still watches the series where she found love, and she’s speaking up about the very emotional current season.
“I’ve watched every single season and I always will,” Trista told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It’s just part of a family for me, and it reminds me of my own love story.”
Eric Hill, who passed away after his filming wrapped, is also forever part of The Bachelorette family.
“I have to say seeing Eric and knowing what happened, it just breaks my heart,” Trista said. “I [didn’t] know him personally. But as a mother, I’m continuously thinking about his parents watching him on the show and thinking about those being his final moments in life, and holding onto that. My heart breaks for anyone who knew him.”
Eric Hill Eliminated From ‘The Bachelorette’
His exit was very emotional and after his final scene, which was the last time he ever spoke to Andi, host Chris Harrison sat down with Andi for a discussion to honor Eric who passed away during the hometown dates. Their tribute was in lieu of the night’s rose ceremony, which Chris announced was too trivial, in light of the tragic situation.
Our deepest thoughts remain with Eric’s family and loved ones. We will truly miss him from the show.
