The auditions continued on ‘America’s Got Talent’ and the judges continued to be impressed! Read on for a 12-sibling singing group, two jokesters and a magician who completely grosses out Howard Stern!
We didn’t think it was possible, but America’s Got Talent second episode on June 3 was even more entertaining than the season premiere! Heidi Klum, Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and Mel B were more and more surprised by each act they saw. Who was their favorite and who didn’t make the cut?
12 Siblings Open The Show With Their Musical Group
The first act during the June 3 audition show was incredible. The Willis Clan consists of twelve people, and they’re all siblings!
The siblings — who’s ages ranged from 3 to 21-years-old — all sang, dance and played instruments. The impressive musical family sang a folk cover of “My Favorite Things” with the oldest daughter singing lead vocals. The adorable family received a unanimous “yes” from Heidi, Howard, Howie and Mel B.
We can’t wait to see them again!
Two Magicians Play A Trick On Howie Mandel
Next up was two magicians, and they might want to quit their day jobs, as a teacher and a barrista, because their act blew the judges away — expecially Howie!
David and Leeman, a magician team from Los Angeles, gave a demonstration of pseudoscience and used Howie as their volunteer. Leeman explained to the crowd that by squeezing different parts on Howie’s head, Howie would in lose the ability to read.
With Leeman holding onto Howie’s head, David showed Howie cards with words such as “comedian” and his own name “Howie Mandel” — the AGT judge really could not pronounce the words and was very confused. All four judges said “yes” to the magicians, even though Howie still seemed convinced that the producers were playing a trick on him. Poor Howie!
‘America’s Got Talent’ Auditions: The Competition Is Fierce
Julia Goodwin, a 15-year-old singer, gained a standing ovation from the judges after she sang her own version of Billy Joel‘s “New York State of Mind.”
The judges and host Nick Cannon were all surprised when Julia started singing and had an incredibly soulful and unique voice. Howard said, “She’s something different. And I like that.”
The choice was easy for the judges — four “yes” votes, and Julia was through!
The young girls in the audience went wild when the next act took the stage — Sean, 17, and Luke, 18, made tap dancing look cool in their routine.
The best friends tap danced to classic ’90’ hip hop tracks such as “Bust It.” Although the dance was entertaining and unique, not all of the judges were sold. Howard gave the boys a “no” because he was unsure if the “talent was great enough for the [AGT] stage.” However, Mel B. disagreed and insisted the boys made tap dancing “cool.”
Sean and Luke received three yeses and continued on.
The First ‘No’ Of The Night Goes To…
The next act was a little confusing, to say the least.
A man who goes by the name of Grand Master Qi is a self-proclaimed Kung Fu and energy master. Qi energetically took the stage with his translator in tow. However, the translator wasn’t much help because the judges still couldn’t quite understand what Qi was saying.
He had a few cool tricks, like stopping a clock using his energy, but in the end the judges decided that it wasn’t enough to move on.
The Judges Head Outside For Bike Stunts: ‘I’ve Never Seen Anything So Dangerous’
The judges were shocked and amazed at the stunt team, Real Encounter.
The team consisting of BMX, motocross and motorcycle stuntmen flew off ramps and covered a 75-foot space, before landing on another ramp — and they were flipping their bikes the whole time!
The judges were clearly nervous of the stuntmen’s well being and they received a unanimous “yes” with Howard adding that he’s “never seen anything so dangerous.”
Little Tikes Play Their Cards Right On ‘AGT’
The adorable 8-year-old triplets that make up Dom The Bomb’s Triple Threat received chanting from the crowd after their performance. Dominic, joined by his two siblings, is a card thrower — and an impressive one, at that! His brother and sister helped him out by holding up different objects.
Nick even joined in on the action by holding the end of a celery stick in his mouth and Dominic threw a card straight through it. It was impressive and the trio received four big yeses from the judges.
Is This The Grossest Audition We’ve Ever Seen?
Next, Mad Jack showed up on the AGT stage — and when he did, they judges seemed disgusted by the end of the act. Howard was brought on stage and used as Mad Jack’s assistant, but little did he know the magic trick would end with Howard pulling a card out of the magicians butt! The judge wasn’t too thrilled about it, plus Mad Jack’s magic routine was bizarre and just kind of weird, so the judges ultimately did not send him through.
Contestants Stun The Judges With Their Talent
He’s a momma’s boy, he cooks, he plays guitar, and he has a killer voice — the girls in the audience went crazy as Miguel Dakota, a 21-year-old musician took the stage! Miguel belted out an acoustic version of “Too Close” by Alex Clare, and his voice was just as good as his looks. Even Heidi agreed he was great saying that her “heart just melted.” Not surprisingly, the judges all loved him and sent him through!
Next, 33-year-old Abigail brought her “imagination to life” with an incredibly unique aerial performance. Unlike anything the judges had seen before, Abigail took her act to a new level with an animated screen behind her. Abigail performed in the air, alongside the screen, and it was innovative, creative and impressive. The judges all gave Abigail a standing ovation and she continued on!
Finally, a two-man salsa dancing team, John and Andrew, took everyone by surprise with just how good they are! The men put on a powerful, dramatic and entertaining dance, and the judges were loving it. In fact, Howard and Howie even learned a few steps from the salsa dancing pros! (Let’s just say the two judges shouldn’t quit their day jobs.) We’re excited to see John and Andrew again this season — they received four yeses!
