Please no fighting ladies! Both Solange and the designer were dressed to the 9’s for the fashionable affair –and the duo totally avoided each other a mere month after their now infamous feud — awkward!
Rachel Roy and Solange have not attended a public affair since the two exchanged words at the Met Gala after party in NYC on May 5. Almost a month after their now infamous brawl, the fashionable twosome, (and former friends!), were both in attendance at the 2014 CFDA Awards on June 4 and looked stunning in their floor-length dresses — and apparently they couldn’t stay further away from each other!
Solange & Rachel Roy At CFDA Awards 2014 — Avoid Each Other:
Although we’re sure these two prefer to keep their distance, fashion brought them together as Rachel attended with model Chrissy Teigen. Beyonce‘s little sister, Solange, was a guest of Calvin Klein’s creative director, Francisco Costa — and she looked stunning in a silk dress from the fashion house!
Although they were in close quarters, the pair made sure to avoid a public run-in. “Rachel looked uncomfortable,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They obviously didn’t want to run into Solange and Solange’s people also tried to steer clear of them.”
Solange & Rachel Roy’s Met Gala Fight:
It was the fight seen ’round the world on the night of the Met Gala, when Solange fought with her sister’s hubby, Jay Z, over his “way too close for comfort,” relationship with the designer, a source close to the situation revealed. “Rachel Roy came up to [Solange] in a confrontational way earlier in the night,” the source shared with HollywoodLife.com exclusively on May 13. “But they’ve had a long-standing feud. It turns out this ruined the whole night.”
While the two may prefer to stay far apart, in 2012 Solange and Rachel Roy attended the Met Gala together. Now, the duo is back in the same room — but it doesn’t look like we could expect to see a friendly reunion anytime soon!
What do you think? Is it totally awkward that both Solange and Rachel are at the same event less than a month later?
