Andi Dorfman — as your search for love hones in on a potential Mr. Right, it seems like you’re leaning heavily towards handsome Josh. But you need to give cool bachelors like Marcus, Nick and Chris more of a chance!
Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, you clearly have a hot connection with sexy, tanned former pro baseball player Josh Murray, judging by the number of make-out sessions you two keep racking up. But it’s kind of puzzling for viewers, since we haven’t seen any strong reason — besides physical attraction — that you’d already be making him your fave.
Andi Dorfman’s Focus On Josh Murray In ‘Bachelorette’: Give Other Guys A Chance
Josh is definitely a prime physical specimen — all 6’2″ of him. He’s built, he has whiter-than-white teeth, and he has a full head of dark hair. But so far on the show, he doesn’t have much to say, aside from confessing every time he’s with you that he’s nervous.
“You make me nervous,” is his date mantra, before sweeping in for a little makeout session. I guess you like a nervous guy, because aside from him looking like your athletic “type,” he doesn’t appear to offer much else … yet.
As viewers, we’d really like you to give a shot to several of the other cute bachelors left standing, who seem smart, funny and really interesting.
Andi — you’re a lawyer, a former district attorney, so you are a smart, accomplished young woman. You’re also beautiful, adventurous, energetic, high-spirited and a lot of fun. As so many of your suitors point out, rather obnoxiously, you’re “the total package.”
In other words, you’d be highly desirable, even if you weren’t The Bachelorette. But part of that package includes your brains. That means, ultimately, that you need a man who challenges you mentally and doesn’t just turn you on physically.
Maybe Josh is really articulate and intriguing off-camera and we just haven’t seen that side of him yet. But we have seen other bachelors who seem like guys you should be considering more seriously.
I won’t go into why Eric Hill was actually the standout of the bunch — sensitive, worldly, courageous — it’s just too sad to go there. His tragic death was a loss for humanity, and not just for his family and friends.
Andi Dorfman — Stop Making Out With Josh Murray & Focus On The Other Men
But Andi, how about Chris, who treated you like a such a treasure on your date at the horse races with a romantic dance afterwards? Yes, he’s a farmer, but farming today is a really scientific venture. Wouldn’t you love to hear his thoughts on organic farming or the challenges of family farming versus industrial farming?
Marcus is adorable and romantic, and he was a blast on the group date, bravely taking on the challenge of stripping.
Speaking of romantic, Nick V. thoughtfully sent you flowers and a love note to show you his deep feelings.
And then there’s JJ — the ultimate good sport. You have to give kudos to a guy who was willing to play along on a joke date, where you both were costumed and made up to look like 70 year olds. Plus, he’s an entrepreneur — I mean, a “pantsapreneur.” You need to ask him what it’s like to launch your own business — that takes guts, and having guts makes a man interesting.
Then there’s Dylan, who we don’t know all that well yet. He’s a gorgeous hunk who’s also been through the hellish family experience of losing two siblings to drug addiction. I’m not trying to pull your heartstrings, but deeply difficult life experiences add depth and empathy to a person. Dylan could be a very thoughtful, spiritual man.
Now, back to Josh. Does he have depth? Is he bright? What, in fact, does he do now that he’s no longer a pro baseball player? Don’t you want a man who has big plans and dreams of some sort?
In any case, Andi, it’s too early in your quest for love to be favoring Josh so much. You need to make sure that he’s more than just a pretty face … and chest.
Do you agree, HollywoodLifers? Let me know!
