How he feels now that he said those words to Elliot and how much they hurt him?

He wasn’t a psychopath. Most psychopaths are not shy and awkward like that. Most people don’t know about psychopathy and say anyone who does something bad is a psychopath. But he probably was a schizoid.

Elliot appeared to be an extremely lonely, sad, isolated, angry and frustrated person. Some news reports suggest he was suffering from Asperger’s, panic attacks, depression and a narcissistic disorder. Elliot’s parents suspected he had autism for years but because it was never officially diagnosed by the therapists. The panic attacks came on as a result of bullying. Our mental health system isn’t perfect and you can’t always exactly predict when someone will become violent. I have known high functioning, articulate and persuasive mentally ill people who should of been locked up but they easily swayed the counselor into believing they were “normal”. In fact, one person ended up joking and laughing with the counselor only to go back home and abuse his family and drown his sorrows in liquor later that evening. In the end, Elliot became delusional and showed signs of sociopathic tendencies. When someone with mental illness breaks down they can act out and hurt themselves or others.

Shy Elliot showed many signs of autism and this could be why he had difficulty in communicating with others. When Elliot’s neighbor tried to talk to him Elliot didn’t say a word for five minutes. Elliot
wasn’t the type of person one could figure out so others avoided him. That’s why Elliot used social
media as a way to comfortably share his feelings to the public (selfies). He was intelligent to realize
this world is chaotic and unfair but he couldn’t handle the rejection. Elliot felt he should of had a
companion to share his adventures with because he had wealth and beautiful scenery to visit. Women he met brushed him off in the meanest way. He felt a slap in the face when brutish type males picked up the girls he wished he had.

Elliot couldn’t understand why his money didn’t attract a comfortable level acceptance from his peers nor a companion. He promoted his personality to others by showing off his material goods but that is superficial. I think Elliot did this because he didn’t know how to communicate to others due to his autistic disorder. Autism doesn’t automatically make you go shoot others when they misunderstand you but it did make it difficult for him to understand where others were coming from. Most high functioning autistic kids will tell you there were teased to death by their peers. Not everyone who is teased to death will commit murder but everyone has their own breaking point. Elliot’s neighbor could barely get a word out Elliot. Talking to himself and on camera was easy but trying to talk to others was a disaster.

Elliot told his neighbor he was thinking of committing suicide. From the outside, he could appear
distant and attractive so gals could of thought he was gay. His odd behavior likely confused other girls who prefer to read the person they are dating. When the “normal” population can’t figure you out you are considered creepy..that’s pretty factual. Elliot probably thought his mixed race heritage was a reason why no one liked him but he still admitted on camera he wasn’t sure why girls hate him so much. All of his peers (black, white, Japanese, Malaysian, etc.) were able to date the type of female he was attracted to. He was an attractive guy and it’s a shame he was so lost in his world. His camera was an outlet to communicate his thoughts to anyone who would listen. In the end, he became very angry and he lashed out at others and himself.

Elliot Rodger, as a child, was a helpless VICTIM of an overtly ‘abusive’ Mother. Read about the hidden background and parenting issues.

You mean his “step” mother, right? I read the manifesto and nowhere in it did he ever mention his mother even disciplining him once.

Nonsense re an abusive mother (you mean step-mother, not mother). His stepmother tried to limit his internet use, and set boundaries for him. Elliot hada twisted way of seeing the world. No-one else is to blame. He had no abuse in his life.

Elliot Rodger didn’t just ‘open fire’ on the UCSB campus murdering six people…..that false statement indicates he used only a gun to carry out his killings. He used a knife to kill his first three victims. He ran several people over with his car. To be accurate, Elliot was a killer, not just a shooter. And he went on a killing spree, not a shooting spree. In the highly politicized world surrounding guns these days, accuracy, not political hyperbole, is critical.

He actually used a hammer, 2 machetes and two knives – exactly as he wrote – these weapons were removed by the investigators.
