Bill Murray crashed a bachelor party over Memorial Day weekend and delivered an incredible speech to the group of 20 or so merrymakers. Click to watch!
Bill Murray, 63, is basically a benevolent spirit appearing whenever a party needs to pump up the jam, right? The evidence so far has been pretty compelling. First, he dropped in at a karaoke party in Jan. 2011 and sang Elvis Presley‘s “Marie’s The Name,” and in Oct. 2012 he popped in on a kickball game, appearing out of nowhere and bouncing the ball, interacting with players. Well, over Memorial Day weekend, Bill struck again: he crashed a bachelor party and delivered some sage words of wisdom. Click to watch!
Bill Murray Crashes NYC Bachelor Party And Delivers Touching Speech
One of the bachelor party attendees revealed to Deadspin that they spotted Bill Murray at an NYC steakhouse wearing a fishing vest (as you do) and they offered to send him drinks, but Bill said no.
Then, one of the attendees asked Bill if he’d say a few words, and Bill declined once again, but then two minutes later he appeared, like the magical wood nymph that he is, to deliver the best bachelor party speech ever.
“You know how they say funerals are not for the dead, they’re for the living? Bachelor parties are not for the groom; they’re for the unmarried,” Bill said, to which he received huge, drunken cheers.
Bill Murray Appears Yet Again Out Of Nowhere To Blow Strangers’ Minds
More seriously, Bill advised that “if you have someone you think is the one … take that person and travel around the world.” He went on, telling the crowd that if you can travel all around the world with that person and spend all your time with that person, and “if when you land in JFK and you’re still in love with that person, get married at the airport.”
So sweet, right? Who knew he had it in him? Just kidding, we did — Bill Murray is the greatest.
