Three mutilated bodies, riddled with stab wounds were carried out of Elliot Rodger’s apartment on May 24. The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department stated in a press conference on the same day that these three were the first victims of Elliot’s killing spree, that ended with a total of six people dead from either gunshot or stab wounds.
Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department confirmed, on May 24, during a press conference that three male victims were stabbed to death inside the apartment of Elliot Rodger on May 23. Sheriff Coroner Bill Brown said the victims “appear to be” the first three murdered by Elliot during his killing spree.

Bill said that the victims suffered multiple stab wounds to their body and died as a result of their injuries. Because of the sensitive and graphic nature of the case “the names will not be released,” Bill said in the press conference which took place in front of Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department building.
The victims found were presumably the roommates of Elliot, all of them sharing a residence on the 6500 block of Civil Road in Isla Vista, California.
“They were stabbed repeatedly. The suspect [Elliot Rodgers] then got into his vehicle and drove to the second crime scene,” Bill said.
The second crime scene was the beginning of his second round of murders, starting with two female UCSB students.

Alpha Pi sorority sisters Katie Cooper, 22, and Veronica Weiss, 19, were two of the three slain by gunfire. “Elliot shot the two girls from across the street while they stood outside of their sorority house,” Bill said in the press conference. They died almost instantly.
The third victim to die of gunshots wounds was Christopher Ross Michael-Martinez, 20.
Elliot exited his black BMW SUV and gunned down Christopher inside of a local deli. Elliot then got back in his car and fled from police.
