HollywoodLife.com obtained an EXCLUSIVE eyewitness account of what went down the night of the tragic shooting. Haley, 21, a student at UCSB who lives on Del Playa Drive right outside of the crash, told us the scary details of what happened just outside her door.
“We were in the living room and we heard a large crash,” Haley told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “I thought someone crashed into one of the cars on our driveway it was so loud.” Haley noted that the car had crashed across the street and there was about 10 minutes between when shots were fired and the crash.
Upon hearing the frightening crash, Haley and her housemates ran outside to help. Here’s what Haley described upon leaving her house:
“We ran out to help whatever was going on to help the person in the car accident, but once we got into the street, we were about 20 feet from the car and there was a police officer there. The first thing we saw was a guy laying face down and there was blood around him. We thought he was dead, but then we thought we saw him breathing. But later there was a yellow body bag on him.
Haley continued to reveal chilling details, including the police telling everyone to go inside. Haley and her housemates retreated back into their house, but were able to hear the cops say, “We have pulled the shooter out [of the car] and he’s dead.”
