Kim and Kanye are like no other couple — so they didn’t want to dance to a song any other couple ever has. So, that’s probably why Kanye created a mashup of three classic love songs for their first dance at their Florence wedding!
Following their lavish wedding ceremony on May 24 at the Forte di Belvedere, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West hit the dance floor for their first super romantic first dance. After Lana Del Rey‘s performance at the rehearsal dinner and Andrea Bocelli‘s performance during the ceremony itself, they had another a-lister perform — Kanye’s close friend, John Legend.
Kanye West & Kim Kardashian’s First Dance
The couple hit the floor to classic songs that have been danced to a ton of times — remixed of course by Kanye, Us Weekly reports.
“At Last” by Etta James, “These Arms of Mine” by Otis Redding and “Tenderness,” also by Otis, were all mashed together for the first romantic dance, which ended with Kanye rapping! Now that is something that has never been done at a wedding!
However, they then had yet another super personal moment — one of Kanye’s BFFs, John Legend performed “All of Me,” the song he wrote for wife, Chrissy Teigen and sang for her at their fall 2013 wedding.
“I am so happy for Kim and Kanye. Kanye was inspired by you, knew he was in love with you, knew you were the one. I know Kanye personally as person, as friend and as a mentor. I believe in you two and I also believe in this song, and it’s number one now,” John said before performing.
Bey & Jay Don’t Make It To Wedding, But Send Well Wishes
John also reportedly made a joke about Beyonce not being at the wedding — but we know that she and Jay Z skipped it because Rachel Roy was there, and they didn’t want the attention.
“They weren’t sure about all of the media attention and it possibly being filmed for the show [KUWTK], but after the fight with Rachel at the Met, they decided to lay low,” a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Bey and Jay are working on their marriage.”
However, Bey took to Instagram to still support them, posting a photo from their Vogue shoot, writing “Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family.”
