Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are prepping for the biggest wedding ever, with performances from Andrea Bocelli and more!
Sorry, Prince William and Kate Middleton — we all know to whom the real title of Royal Wedding belongs, and it’s to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who are mere hours away from their wedding vows. As you might expect, the performers at their wedding are a little higher class than The Police cover bands; as Bruce walked Kim walked down the aisle, Andrea Bocelli performed “Con te Partiró” for the happy couple, as reported by People. Furthermore, an appearance from Lana Del Rey is pretty likely. Read on for more details!
Andrea Bocelli & More Perform At Kim Kardashian And Kanye West’s Wedding
It would only be fitting that Lana perform at Kimye’s wedding; after all, Kanye played her song “Young And Beautiful” during his surprise proposal to Kim on Oct. 21, when he rented out AT&T Park in San Francisco to get on bended knee.
Furthermore, she even performed at their rehearsal dinner! The only logical next step would have been that she take part in the best wedding band ever. However, Lana did not perform at the wedding itself. Too bad!
Another performer was good friend of the Kardashian-Wests, John Legend. He and his beautiful wife, Chrissy Teigen, were guests at Kim and Kanye’s big day, and John serenaded the happy couple with “All Of Me” as the two had one of their first dances, according to Us Weekly. “All Of Me” was written about his own wife — what more romantic song is there than that for a wedding? Before John performed, he announced to the crowd:
“I am so happy for Kim and Kanye, Kanye was was inspired by you, knew he was in love with you, knew you were the one… I know Kanye personally as person, as friend and as a mentor… I believe in you two and I also believe in this song, and it’s number one now!”
John Legend Performs At Kim And Kanye’s Wedding
For Kimye’s very first dance, they danced to a mashup of Otis Redding‘s “These Arms Of Mine” and Etta James‘ “At Last,” Us is reporting. This segued into Kanye rapping for the crowd. How fun is that?!
However, People is reporting that John did indeed perform for the couple’s first dance, singing “At Last”. So, reports are a bit conflated, but we’ll update with more details when we can!
Beyonce and Jay Z were rumored to perform, but considering that they skipped out on the rehearsal dinner, that was looking less and less likely as the ceremony approached, and indeed, the two did not attend.
So, HollywoodLifers, which limb would YOU cut off to have John Legend perform at your wedding? Are you excited about Kimye’s nuptials? Let us know!
